About:  The inspiration behind the name Grayers came about when Peter Georgiou, Grayers founder, a 10-year Ralph Lauren veteran and veritable history buff, was reading about Britain in the 1950s. At that time, young men switched from wearing three-piece suits to gray flannel trousers, commonly known as “grayers”—and the casual menswear movement was born. Grayers was the must-have in every man’s wardrobe, from British society to American prep schools.

Peter and Kenny Thomas, Grayers creative directors, were colleagues during their Ralph Lauren days: Peter on the product development and sourcing side and Kenny on the design side. Kenny came to Grayers with a notable 13 years at Ralph Lauren as a vice president of concept design.

They rewrite the classics and make them uniquely Grayers - well crafted, redefined and modernized - in a way that doesn’t break the bank.
